This position is located in Pinnacles National Park, in the Division of Maintenance. This job announcement is open to receive applications from the first 101 applicants. Duties

Major Duties: Performs carpentry work, primarily using heavy log and rough-sawn lumber, on trail structures such as log checks, footbridges, multi-use bridges, corrals, hitch rails, and boardwalks. Performs masonry tasks including the maintenance, repair, and construction of walls (both single- and multi-tier), bridge abutments, causeways, riprap trail tread and other similar structures, using primarily dry stone techniques. Actively promotes the parks safety program and requires safe working practices and conditions are maintained. Oversees day to day work of seasonal and volunteer employees of the Trails division. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately September to May, and you will be in a non-pay status for 6 pay periods (12 weeks) between June and August. Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. All travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the sole responsibility of the selected employee.

A relocation incentive is not the same as a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move and, as such, may be granted in conjunction with one another. ICTAP/CTAP Clearance (Example: Rehires): Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. Well qualified means that the applicant meets the following: OPM qualification standards for the position; all selective placement factors, where applicable; special qualifying conditions that OPM has approved for the position, where applicable; is physically qualified with reasonable accommodation, where appropriate to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry; and is rated by the organization at least at the well qualified level on all competencies. Federal employees seeking CTAP/ICTAP eligibility must submit proof that they meet the requirements of 5 CFR 330.605(2) for CTAP and 5 CFR 330.704 for ICTAP. This includes a copy of the agency notice, a copy of their most recent Performance Rating, and a copy of their most recent SF-50 noting current position, grade level, and duty location.
