Duties
You will install, inspect, and perform modifications and repairs to electrical power support systems components to maintain continuous operations of equipment.
You will adjust power production components to maintain electric power distribution and meet electrical load demand.
You will use technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams, schematics, and similar guides to determine method of repair for powered support systems or components.
You will troubleshoot electrical power support systems (e.g., electrical power plants, power distribution equipment) to determine the type of repair or maintenance needed.
You will use testing equipment (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, continuity testers, feller, gauges, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, signal generators) to troubleshoot system malfunctions.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Installing, inspecting, and performing modifications and repairs to electrical power support systems such as, electrical power plants and power distribution equipment; 2) Maintaining, operating and adjusting power production components to ensure efficient electric power control and distribution and to meet electrical load demand; 3) Utilizing technical manuals, diagrams, schematics, and similar guides to determine replacement parts required for powered support system or components; 4) Troubleshooting by use of a wide range of testing and repair equipment for system malfunction.
