This position is part of the Southeastern Power Administration. As a Secretary (OA), you will serve as the Secretary for the Finance & Marketing and Power Resources Divisions, providing secretarial and administrative support for both Assistant Administrators and their staff. **This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Elberton, GA duty location.**

Applicant must demonstrate specialized experience in at least four (4) of the following: Experience with secretarial and administrative support functions. Knowledge of travel. Office management and administrative procedures. Document control. Filing systems. Correspondence review and quality control. You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: One year of graduate-level education, or superior academic achievement (S.A.A.) gained in a bachelor degree curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled (based on class standing, grade-point average, or honor society membership). Less than one year of specialized experience may be combined with completed graduate education. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

The Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs. To be eligible, applicants must apply within two years of degree or certificate completion (except for veterans precluded from doing so due to their military service obligation, who have up to six years after degree completion to apply). Successful applicants are placed in a dynamic, developmental program with the potential to lead to a civil service career in the Federal Government.
