THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a MATERIALS HANDLER - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD2139000 and is part of the KY CSMS, National Guard.

Duties

As a MATERIALS HANDLER - TITLE 32, WG-6907-6, you will perform the full range of warehousing activities to include receiving, storing, selecting, and shipping materials and equipment. Assist in the development of plans for storage and arrangement of stock to determine warehouse configuration, setup, movement, rearrangement, and traffic flow. Insure the safe receipt, storage, and movement of hazardous and toxic materials and substances in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. May coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials with docking area and scheduling personnel to facilitate movement in accordance with priorities, scheduling requirements, and space allocations. Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment, as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience which demonstrates the ability to compare item identification against receiving reports and issue request forms. Ability to use hand trucks, dollies, equipment to move stock, hammers, pliers, and other hand tools. Experience following oral and written instructions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 9 months experience receiving, packaging, and preparation for shipment. Experience in compiling reports, overall warehouse planning, documentation requirements, and accepted warehousing methods, procedures and techniques. Experience in setting up and rotating storage locations considering factors such as life expectancy, available space, product turnover, etc. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification.
