This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Deputy Commandant for Mission Support (CG-DCMS), Department of Logistics (DOL), Base Los Angeles Long Beach, San Pedro CA.

Duties

You will perform a variety of task involved in the upkeep of buildings, grounds and related structures, fixtures, and utilities. The duties are performed primarily within the carpentry, painting, plumbing and plastering trade.

Requirements

• Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• The position requires a valid state driver's license.
• Pre-Employment Physical Required
• This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
• Probationary period may be required.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
