You will serve as a PURCHASING AGENT in the Business Operations and Transformation Office of BUREAU OF NAVAL PERSONNEL.
Duties
You will create purchase, task, or delivery orders for supplies and or services.
You will resolve discrepancies between quotes and the original order (e.g. substitution of items, delay in delivery dates, or increases in price) to fulfill requests according to the agreed upon terms.
You will issue Solicitations and Requests for Quotes (RFQ) to prepare purchase orders that explain items desired and various terms and conditions.
You will compare price and delivery terms to determine the best offer to award contract.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Processing requisitions for equipment, supplies and services; 2) Screening purchase requests for completeness and adequacy; 3) Reviewing and reconciling purchase card statements; 4) Performing processes in supporting systems such as Funds Administration and Standardized Document Automation System (FASTDATA), Standard Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting System (SABRS), Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), and Ability One or like programs; 5) Maintaining liaison with customers within the organization and outside such as vendors and fleet logistic centers.
