National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Asset Management Lead Expert Support), you will carry out bank supervision objectives and functions in the specialty area of asset management by assisting the asset management Lead Expert in providing expert advice and support to the bank supervision functions involving fiduciary activities.

Duties
As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Asset Management Lead Expert Support), you will:
Assist the asset management Lead Expert in providing advice to MCBS management, subject matter experts and specialists on matters involving asset management activities.
Identify emerging issues throughout the organization in asset management activities and services.
Lead or assist in asset management examinations at challenging and complex financial institutions including trust companies, thrifts and community, midsize and large banks.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor supervisory activities for asset management activities including assessing risk, developing supervisory strategies, determining the scope of supervisory activities, managing teams of assisting personnel, preparing reports of activities, and developing responses to address risks.
Provide leadership and training to other examiners and may instruct at formal schools in asset management and fiduciary risk management.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-IV band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
Examining or auditing a financial institution's asset management operations (i.e. personal and corporate trusts, investment management, and custodial services, etc.).
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
