You will serve as a WRITER-EDITOR in the ADMINISTRATION DIVISION of HDQTRS NDW.
Duties
You will furnish timely, flexible, and responsive technical writing and editing support to customers.
You will develop forms, brochures, newsletters, reports, and news articles using the advanced features of Microsoft Word.
You will create and edit documents using a variety of multi-media development products by the interpretation of raw documentation (e.g., notes, reports, tests, charts, etc.)
You will collect, review, interpret, evaluate, and integrate information from multiple sources to assess the relevance and significance of developments.
You will discuss with supervisor major deviations with editorial edits to obtain approval.

Qualifications
our resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Independently plans, organizes, coordinates, and accomplishes writing assignments, editorial reviews; 2) prepares correspondence and a variety of other military documents for approval and signature by the Regional Commander, Chief of Staff, Executive Director and Director, Total Force Manpower Management; 3) Directives Control Point must review proposed directives prior to signature for compliance (using OPNAV 5215/9) with established formatting standards and ensure they do not overlap, duplicate, or conflict with other directives; and 4) Verifies the technical content and specifications compliance of the products before publication or distribution. Education
Applicants that do not meet the specialized experience as described above may qualify with education or a combination of experience and education, as follows:
You have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree,
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D., or equivalent degree,
OR
Completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled,
OR
You have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
