Job opening: TRAINING TECHNICIAN

Salary: $41 996 - 54 600 per year

You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN in the SURFACE COMBAT SYSTEMS TRAINING COMMAND GREAT LAKES.

Duties

You will file records in accordance with office filing procedures. You will enter data and information into established automated systems. You will compile information or educational material in support of an education program. You will answer inquiries of general nature regarding training to students, instructors, and other staff members. You will direct students to proper resource to resolve issues. You will compose correspondence using proper spelling, punctuation, grammar and syntax.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

GS-06 Level Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing a full range of clerical and administrative support and customer service to internal and external stakeholders, as well as completing program analyses and compilation of progress reports and statistics; 2) Utilizing personnel and training systems such as Bureau of Naval Personnel Online (BOL), Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Fleet Training Management and Planning System (FLTMPS), and Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource Systems (CeTARS); 3) Maintaining student control information, academic schedules and matriculation data for training program, while assisting staff and students with questions and concerns related to administrative functions; 4) Updating and querying databases to provide status reports on records or files (e.g., personnel actions, requalification, medical disciplines, and security), in addition to tracking student pipeline training statuses; and 5) Maintaining Personally Identifiable Information (PII) standards for all documentation and ensuring the Privacy Act standards are enforced in accordance with established guidelines and policies. GS-05 Level Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing a full range of clerical and administrative support and customer service to internal and external stakeholders, while compiling data for reports; 2) Utilizing personnel and training systems such as Bureau of Naval Personnel Online (BOL), Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Fleet Training Management and Planning System (FLTMPS), and Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource Systems (CeTARS); 3) Entering data into databases to provide status reports (e.g., personnel actions, requalification, medical disciplines, and security); and 4) Maintaining and enforcing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Privacy Act standards in accordance with established guidelines and policies.
