You will serve as a Supervisory Recreation Specialist in the Fleet and Family Readiness Department of NAVAL STA NT RI.

Duties

You will Manage Non-appropriated Funds and Appropriated Funds employees (e.g., work schedules, approve leave) to ensure maximum productivity and cost effectiveness. You will administer and monitor Non-appropriated Funds and Appropriated Funds Recreation Program budgets to ensure requirements are met within fiscal resources. You will administer fitness, sports and aquatics programs on a larger installation to meet the needs of an extremely diverse customer base.

Requirements

  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • You will be required to have and maintain a current CPR certification.
  • You will be required to have and maintain a current First Aid certification.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Preparing and tracking budget submissions and monthly financials for MWR Programs; 2) Utilizing Navy MWR accreditation and DOD standards for Fitness, Liberty, Library, Deployed Forces, Community Recreation, Bowling, Golf, Movie, Marina and Food & Beverage operations; 3) Supervising personnel in the coordination of an installation's MWR recreation program; and 4) ) Performing the development and oversight of self-directed, unit-directed and team-directed recreation activities.
