About the Position: This position is located in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) at Falls Church, Virginia under the policy guidance and direction of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for (Health Affairs) (ASD(HA)). Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced leave accrual may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Serves as a subject matter expert on the Joint Strategic Planning System and the Joint Planning Process (JPP). Leads operational planning groups/teams in the development and maintenance of internal operational support plans and ensures preparation for, and execution of, the Agency?s combat support mission. Coordinates with the DHA Education and Training Directorate to ensure CCMD medical planning tool training requirements are met in a timely manner. Serves as a team member on operational medical force structure initiatives. Represents DHA equities on the joint medical planning tools configuration control boards. Participates in the planning and contributes to conducting medical planning staff assistance visits to the CCMDs. Provides programmatic information in support of justification materials prepared for annual budget submissions, including cost estimates for program activities, descriptions of annual program accomplishments, and future program objectives.

• Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
• This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
