As a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for the following duties:

- Telework Eligibility: This position is telework eligible, but is not a full time telework position. The incumbent will be required to report to the office on a routine basis.

- This position is designated special-sensitive; the incumbent must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- The duties of this position may require temporary duty (TDY) travel and/or local travel.
- Applicants must possess a certification at the IAM Level II and must obtain all required IAM Level II certifications within six months of selection.
- The incumbent must sign a Statement of Understanding regarding the certification requirement and maintaining the appropriate certification is a condition of employment.

For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-12) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Information technology architecture and engineering in order to define, coordinate, and implement strategies/programs; planning and conducting comprehensive analyses to support deployment, operations, and sustainment of mission and business related applications, requirements, legislation/regulations, effectiveness, functions and activities. and proposed changes.
Evaluating and advising administrative support systems and work distribution.
Developing analyses, policies, data, management plans, procedures, and standards.
Researching and reviewing business practices, efficiency, and management.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:

2. 5. Information Systems Security Certification - Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for evaluating information systems security features against a set of specified security requirements. Includes developing security certification and accreditation plans and procedures, documenting deficiencies, reporting corrective actions, and recommending changes to improve the security of information systems.
