About the Position: The U.S Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) develops and delivers responsive aviation, missile and calibration material readiness to the U.S Army. We believe in "Mission First, People Always" to enable the synchronized aviation, missile and calibration material enterprises. This position is located with the US Army Aviation and Missile Command, G8 (Resource Management) Manpower & Operations Division Financial SYS & OPNS Branch.
Duties
Performs a wide range of analytical duties relating to planning, supporting, and maintenance of financial systems.
Ensures all Automated Time, Attendance, and Production System (ATAAPS) data tables are correct.
Advises management of system problems and recommends solutions.
Develops and issues local instructions regarding assigned automated systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of the appointment.
- This position requires a Financial Management Certification, Level 2.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up 10% of the time.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that includes providing accurate and timely time and attendance input, defense civilian payroll system, AMPS, and remedy; providing technical advice to serviced activities on issues dealing with time and attendance input and recommending solutions to systems problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as any field of study.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
