THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC, Position Description Number D0876000 and is part of the CO AASF, National Guard.

Duties

Its purpose is to perform repair, maintenance, modification, overhaul and installation of complex electronic systems and/or a portion of a complete electronic integrated system involving work on a number of subsystems but not requiring the integration of all operable subsystems into a functional integrated system. Troubleshoots, inspects, installs, maintains, overhauls, repairs, and modifies complete operational systems consisting of numerous complex integral components. Completes operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of line replaceable unit (LRU). Completes bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modification, programming, reprogramming, mating, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units. Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, initiates materiel deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical data and assists in design changes as necessary. When designated on NGB Flying Status Orders, serves as member of flight crew for the purpose of diagnosing and recording malfunctions, or otherwise determining maintenance and repair requirements. Guides lower-level mechanics in performance of tasks. Processes and accounts for due-in supply assets. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as Operational Readiness Evaluations (ORE), Command Logistics Readiness Inspections (CLRT-X), and Aviation Resource Management Surveys. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Membership in the Colorado Army National Guard or those eligible to transfer.
  • Must hold the grade of E-4 thru E-7.
  • Compatible Military Assignment: 15F or 15N MOS.
  • Submit all required documentation.
  • For positions requiring the operation for motor vehicle, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E-4 thru E-7 Compatible Military Assignments: 15F or 15N MOS 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. An applicant's RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below. 3. It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience. DO NOT copy each bullet listed below word for word and place into your resume; you must describe your personal experience as it pertains to each bullet. You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 18 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: 1. Experience in utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic systems or equipment. 2. Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems. 3. Experience in making wiring repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment. 4. Experience in using complex test equipment such as navigation equipment test sets, pitot static test sets, fuel quantity test sets, AFCS test sets, etc. 5. Experience which demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, MWO's, specifications, and other maintenance publications.

Education

Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
