This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Oklahoma Region in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
NOTE: TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED. ANY RELOCATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH REPORTING FOR DUTY WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELECTED EMPLOYEE.
THIS IS A TERM POSITION NOT-TO-EXCEED 2 YEARS; HOWEVER, POSITION MAY BE EXTENDED UP TO TWO (2) ADDITIONAL YEARS FOR A MAXIMUM LIMITATION OF 4 YEARS WITHOUT FURTHER COMPETITION.
Duties
Serves as a project manager and coordinator to identify and implement various trust projects and initiatives at the Regional and Agency level, ensuring integration of new processes and policy into daily operations and business process modeling.
Projects and initiatives will be authorized by the Regional Director and may be responsive to DOI priorities, internal or external requests, recommendations, reviews, studies, or audits.
Incumbent utilizes a broad knowledge of statues, regulations, and policies applicable to the trust and restricted property of the tribes within the administrative jurisdiction of Eastern Oklahoma Region.
Incumbent utilizes general principles of trust responsibility to evaluate current Regional and Agency trust transaction processes and procedures for inefficiencies and risks.
Develops new or improved processes, forms and systems to reduce time required to complete transactions and/or maximize income from trust and restricted property.
Incumbent develops and coordinates managerial methodologies and internal controls to allow management to maintain pro-active oversight of new or improved processes.
The incumbent utilizes excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills to prepare and present briefing papers and reports which justify and/or track findings, recommendations, projects and initiatives

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions, GS-0301).
GS-13: I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal service (obtained in either the public or private sector), which involved administrative work in complex and detailed assignments involving a wide variety of trust-related projects, studies and evaluations requiring application of many different and unrelated processes and differing regulatory criteria. These examples are not all inclusive.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
