About the Position: This position serves as an Adminsitrative Officer for the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC). AMC develops and delivers materiel readiness solutions to ensure globally dominant land force capabilities. As the Army's Lead Materiel Integrator, AMC manages the global supply chain, synchronizing logistics and sustainment activities across the Army.

Duties

Advise leadership and staff on administrative matters requiring a broad knowledge of the command's missions, functions, and objectives. Coordinate with higher headquarters and supported divisions to ensure organizational requirements are met. Administer all aspects of personnel management including preparation and processing of all personnel actions, and maintenance of personnel data records. Ensure administrative propriety of performance appraisals, ratings and awards, and leave programs. Establish goals and objectives to develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the administrative programs. Mediates controversial issues for internal and external sources involving the development and/or implementation of administrative policy.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
