The primary purpose of this position is to identify, evaluate and make recommendations concerning cyber operational requirements and priorities, and the feasibility of information technologies and hardware/software products to support the Command's mission. Contributes technical expertise to the evaluation and selection of cyberspace analysis.
Duties
Captures, analyzes, and prioritizes inputs from internal and external cyber program elements to analyze and define near- to long-term cyber operational requirements and priorities. Analyzes internal and external inputs to form parameters for the development of cyberspace capabilities employed by operational-level INFOSEC teams throughout the DoD.
Defines acquisition strategies, requirements and plans for the design and/or development and/or acquisition of Government-priority cyber operations analysis capabilities and tools. Provides expert knowledge of the C4 system designs and operations to ensure that design/performance specifications are accurately and completely defined.
Manages, analyzes, and defines technical assessment strategies on candidate software and applications identified for possible cyber operations capabilities. Utilizes broad and expert knowledge of the DoDIN elements and projected threats that such capabilities are intended to address to ensure that the scope of assessment is sufficiently encompassing.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Determines and directs general workload allocation and tasks assignments to ensure total branch efforts and objectives are efficiently and effectively accomplished.

- The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Sensitive Security Clearance with access to sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

Directive 8570.1M..

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Individual Occupational Requirements for Information Technology (IT) Management Series, 2210 (Alternative A)
This is a GG-14 position in the Cyber Excepted Service (CES). The GG-14 duties for the "Supervisory" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of and ability to apply Cyberspace Operations principles and concepts to the analysis, design, development or acquisition of processes and applications to meet mission objectives.
2. Knowledge of and experience with Joint military operations, Combatant Commander organizations and missions. Knowledge of DoD CYBER objectives, functions and the roles/responsibilities of participating organization components.
3. Knowledge of DODIN design, operation, technologies and applications.
4. Ability to develop and execute comprehensive assessment programs to assess and validate the operational performance characteristics of CYBER methods.
5. Ability to serve as a supervisor and technical team leader for other CYBER professionals, and to coordinate own team's action with that of other CYBER program partners, within and outside the Command.
6. Ability to document and communicate complex technical and programmatic information, often in the form of verbal and visual operational updates, situation reports and briefings. Ability to develop and deliver effective oral and written briefings, presentations, and reports in which complex material is conveyed.
7. Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide others toward a goal accomplishment. Leadership ability, including the ability to coach, mentor, and challenge subordinates; ability to adapt leadership style to a variety of situations; and ability to model high standards of honesty, integrity, trust, openness, and respect for the individual by applying these values to daily behaviors.
