This position is located in the Informal Learning Office, Center for Learning, Literacy and Engagement Directorate, Office of the Librarian. The position description number for this position is 396452. The salary range indicated reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area. This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position.

Duties

The incumbent conducts outreach efforts to engage family audiences, managing programs and special events which may include family days; poet, author, and illustrator visits; and programs that are webcast to reach a broader audience. Often, the programs emphasize civic engagement, aspects of American culture, and careers.

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to develop, manage, implement and provide advice and guidance on educational/training programs/projects.** Ability to create, administer and evaluate educational products and services.** Ability to apply new and emerging technologies to the development and delivery of educational/training programs/projects. Ability to communicate in writing to support educational/training/programs/projects. Ability to interact collaboratively with others. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
