About the Position: Maintains close surveillance over logistic program documentation, significant action reports, and related data received from field personnel. Based on information provided, updates assigned portions of Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and program task descriptions for the Blue Grass Chemical Activiy (BGCA) located in Richmond, Kentucky.

Duties

Monitor contractor progress in meeting contract provisions and ensures that work performed is within the scope of the contract. Provide information, advice and assistance to organization on doctrine, policies, procedures for government owned and lease vehicle management. Evaluate logistics doctrine, policy, plans, procedures, operations, equipment/weapons systems and support systems with the view toward improvements and makes recommendations. Review BGCA contract requisitions and services in excess of $2500. Provide guidance for the procurement of supplies, technical equipment, professional and non-professional services. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Develop performance plans, evaluates work performance of subordinates and subordinate supervisors, and provides recommended ratings of record; reviews evaluations of nonsupervisory employees rated by subordinate supervisors. Review, resolve, and/or refer employe's problems arising from the decision of subordinate supervisors on actions pertaining to such matters as assignments, working conditions, classification, and performance appraisals.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • May be required to participate in Chemical Incident or Mishap Response and Assistance (CIMRA) situations and serve on teams dedicated to controlling CIMRA situations after being trained for the particular duty involved.
