This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Immediate Office of the Secretary, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.
Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Program Manager, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Immediate Office of the Secretary to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Serving as an authority in the areas of administration, budget, personnel, and information technology, and in the efficient application and use of available resources.
Developing and issuing administrative policies and procedures for ONS operations to effect maximum utilization of human resources, materials, and funds.
Serving as an operational advisor to the Deputy Director, ONS and Director, ONS in the execution of the ONS budget. Plans, formulates, justifies and executes the budget for ONS.
Coordinating all recruiting and hiring actions for ONS positions
Serving as internal Control Officer for ONS, monitors and evaluates internal business operations performance and advises the Deputy Director, ONS on the status of internal controls throughout ONS.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service performing 3 of the 4 of the following: (1) performing analysis of management and program objectives to make recommendations for improvement, (2) overseeing and managing a budget for an office, (3) coordinating recruiting and hiring actions, (4) conducting a continuing program for assessing policies and procedures to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of management support in an office.
