You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the Transaction Service Center (TSC) of PERS SUPPORT DET PENSACOLA.

Duties

You will advise personnel on requirements of travel regulations for compliance with travel operations. You will review work methods, processes, or procedures to improve efficiency or effectiveness of an administrative and support services program. You will oversee the administration of common access cards (CAC). You will initiate a security clearance investigation to recommend favorable disposition, denial, or revocation of a clearance. You will prepare formal correspondence for approval by senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1. Managing daily operations of administrative programs and services to ensure timely submission and compliance with directives, regulations and procedures. 2. Monitor official travel and ensure compliance with travel regulations. 3. Requesting, reviewing and maintaining security clearance information for military and civilian staff members. AND 4. Confirming the identification and initiating the process of obtaining a common access card (CAC) for contract personnel. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if relatedor A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
