Duties
Monitors, analyzes, and interprets DoD secure computing guidance and requirements to ensures DCMAS Command compliance.
Works with the DCMAS IT Director, ISSM and systems administration staff to develop and implement appropriate cyber security operational procedures and practices for the DCMAS secure computing environment.
Determining root cause, corrective actions and impact (risk) to existing schedule timelines and deliverables.
Deal with difficult technical and procedural problems, solving problems independently and establishing the appropriate working groups to solve the problems or items that are brought to attention.
Develops/recommends policies and procedures in the areas of hardware, software, telecommunications, and procedural security.
Partners with the DCMAS ISSM to ensure the DCMAS Secure Wide Area Network (SWAN) maintains its Authority to Operate (ATO).
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Security Requirements: Special Sensitive requiring incumbent to obtain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security access.
- Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.

Qualifications
To qualify for a IT Specialist (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-03 level (GS-13 equivalent), specialized experience must be at the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Specialized Experience is:
Monitoring, analyzing and interpreting security computer guidance and requirements to ensure command compliance.
Reviewing, recommending, and creating secure solutions in contract management mission and in cyber security compliance.
Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services through the use of organizational skills, communication skills and problem-solving skills.
Providing technical advice throughout the Software Development Life Cycle as well has performing decision analysis and developing Software Acquisition Management.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
