Duties
This position is located in the Upper Colorado Region, Glen Canyon Field Division, Plant Maintenance Group. The duties of this position include:
Supervise a crew of electronic technicians (ET) who are responsible for the maintenance of the powerplant, dam, reservoir, and related facilities;
Direct the work of journeymen ETs and sets the standards of workmanship;
Establish collaborative working relationships with stakeholders to achieve solutions and resolve complex problems;
Perform skilled journeyman ET work, to include troubleshooting, assembling, maintaining, installing, and repairing complex state-of-the-art digital and analog electronic controls and equipment;
Install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optics and other communication systems;
Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs);
Operate electronic and electrical test equipment;
Perform hydroelectric powerplant operations;
Operate and use a variety of equipment, tools, and machinery such as, electronic/electrical analyzing equipment, pneumatic tools, forklifts, motorized man-lifts, and light trucks.
