As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Financial Analysis), you will be responsible for analyzing banking industry, supervisory, economic, and other financial data to identify potential systemic risks, preparing and analyzing data to support internal OCC processes. and recommending appropriate supervisory responses.

Duties
As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Financial Analysis), you will:
Conduct analysis of banking industry financial performance, condition, and trends. Identify systemic risks and potential impact on MCBS banks. Present findings to management and staff on a quarterly basis.
Serve as primary point of contact with key stakeholders across various MCBS business units to effectively gauge and deliver reporting needs. Leverage OCC-provided reporting software, systems, and databases to the fullest extent to maximize capacity to analyze available data and deliver meaningful insights to MCBS management and staff.
Engage with non-MCBS lines of business, particularly those aligned with systemic risk identification and data management, to both share and receive information in an effort to improve OCC-wide operational efficiency and limit duplication of effort.
Train MCBS staff on how to best utilize available analysis tools and systems. May perform systemic analysis of MCBS staffing, FTE requirements and bank portfolio distribution across organizational lines.
Work with management, which may include serving on working groups, to develop reporting solutions to effectively implement and execute internal MCBS policies and procedures.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
Examining or auditing financial institutions to identify areas of risk and advise on risk mitigation; or
Performing analysis of a financial institution's business processes to identify risk; or
Analyzing the impact of financial and economic factors on bank supervision activities
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
