You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Expeditionary Systems Engineering Division within the Range Systems Engineering Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, located in Fallbrook CA.

Duties

You will serve as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with duties encompassing all aspects of systems engineering as applied to the development of Internet Protocol (IP) based networks, and system engineering. You will perform duties using technical knowledge to assist with network functional design, network security design, physical security, environmental security concerns, system design and overall security posture. You will perform tasks that include concept development, system architecture definition, network security analysis as well as develop diagrams, layouts, and cost estimates. You will conduct and lead system acquisition, integration, installation, and test and evaluation as well as the development of technical documentation. You will work alone and within teams composed of Project Engineers (PE) of engineering disciplines and Information Assurance (IA), Information Technology (IT), Technical Writing, and Drafting professionals. You will work with technicians to accomplish integration, installation as well as test and evaluation tasking.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Systems Security Analysis 461 level Master within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating and providing analysis of, and advising senior leadership, on information systems security requirements and vulnerabilities and recommendations for mitigation plans for organizational information systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
