Duties
You wiil be a senior analyst that performs a wide variety of cost estimating and analysis functions in a leadership role.
You will assemble and lead large and diverse Cost Integrated Product Teams (lPTs) in the development of complex cost estimates for shipboard and shore-based C41 hardware and software systems and families of systems.
You will develop, present and defend complex life cycle cost models utilizing a wide variety of cost estimating ting tools and processes, including, but not limited to, Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT).
You will develop, present, and defend cost risk analyses by interfacing with program office engineers to identify sources of cost estimating, and technical and schedule risks and performs Mont-Carlo simulations to develop cost-confidence "S-curves."
You will advise program offices of Department of the Navy (DON) and Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition policy and regulations related to cost estimating and analysis.
You wiil perform Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis by reviewing and analyzing Cost Performance Reports (CPRs), calculating common EVM metrics such as Cost Performance Index, Schedule Performance Index.
You will represent NAVWAR Cost Estimating and Analysis Division in cost estimating forums that indude members of the Department of the Navy (DON), Department of Defense (DoD), and prime contractor cost estimating communities.
You will mentor mid-level and junior cost analysts in the NAVWAR Cost Estimating and Analysis Division by providing professional advice, sharing lessons learned and participating in training improvement efforts.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Business-Cost Estimator Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of DP-03 experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Performing a wide variety of cost estimating and analysis functions in a leadership role.

Education
1515:Basic Requirements:
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
