Duties

You will track status of requisition, contracts, and orders using automated files. You will abstract information (e.g., dollar value, contractors) for entry into registers and computer database programs. You will gather and compile data for answers to routine and non-routine data calls. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Requirements

Qualifications

This position has a Selective Placement Factor: You must be able to type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors (this information must be supported in your resume). Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using acquisition automation systems to include problem solving and information management; 2) Tracking orders and generating a variety of reports by use of automated procurement systems; 3) Using advanced foundation of administrative concepts and practices in order to observe impacts of administrative policies and procedures, analyze effectiveness, and recommend changes in administrative policies/procedures; 4) Collecting vendor quotes/proposals according to competitive requirements and abstracts bid information and 5) Devising corrective procedures and office practices affecting the contracting organization.
