Positions are located on a Forest Service Civilian Job Corps Center. You will be responsible for accomplishing and providing advice on a wide variety of technical and administration duties. . Duties

Duties listed at full performance level of the position. Serves as the primary administrative business process point of contact for the District. Responsible for the administrative oversight of various business processes. Performs day-to-day technical and administrative work. Areas of responsibility may include financial planning/budget support, purchasing, supply management, facility/property accounting and maintenance contracts, human resource administration, travel, grants and agreements, paycheck and time accounting. safety and security support, scheduling of resources, maintaining tracking logs, action items, managing administrative suspense items and transaction records, data processing, record keeping, mail, and files management. Disseminates administrative information to employees and serves as a liaison for administrative support that is provided by other units. Assists in developing and implementing solutions for administrative problems within the unit and the larger administrative program.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the eligibility and qualifications requirements as defined below by the closing date of the announcement. Specialized Experience Requirement: GS06: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-5. Examples include most of the following: Providing support and assistance processing a wide variety of requisitions; reconciling purchases and maintaining files; processing incoming and outgoing mail; establishing and maintaining the unit's files, accountable property inventories, records, etc. (hardcopy and/or electronic format); and using automated software to produces reports, correspondence and other written documents in draft form. GS07: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-6. Examples include most of the following: produced a wide range of documents requiring the use of advanced software functions to enhance productivity or meet Unit needs; Provided administrative support to staff, developed correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports, scheduling, organizing, and facilitating meetings both in person and online and screened incoming correspondence to determine proper action and response based upon knowledge of organization and staff duties; Suggested ways of improving administrative and clerical office procedures and processes; Advised personnel of changes in administrative regulations and work processes related to a wide variety of administrative processes (i.e. travel, time and attendance records, procurement requests and payments); and/or trained administrative staff and guided them through appropriate office procedures and personnel regulations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
