THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (UH-72A) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2390000 and is part of the NC ASO, National Guard (ASO-AASF 1 / Manning Doc 4621-071).
This position may require night shift work and entitlement to night shift differential pay IAW OTAGNC Pam 690-1.
Duties
As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (UH-72A), WG-8852-12, you will manage, monitor or perform overall maintenance within the CAMP and FAA framework, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more highly technical, high performance UH-72A military aircraft; request maintenance services exceeding AASF capabilities or time constraints; maintain UH-72A aircraft under FAA and manufacturer guidelines and conduct inspections IAW Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance publications and special inspection criteria as outlines in FAA, OEM and Army maintenance and safety messages; plan, develop and conduct proficiency training during the technician work week to a multi-faceted workforce comprised of Full Time Support (FTS) and supported unit personnel; comply with safety, fire, security, environmental, and housekeeping regulations; participate in operational flights as a crewmember.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

- Must possess/obtain within 12 months of position selection, an A and P certificate issued by the FAA per CFR Title 14, part 65, subpart D.
Qualifications
MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted (E1 to E6)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience or training that has provided the candidate with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications. Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (Must have 18 months) of experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow.
