Duties

Serves as Industrial Product Support-Vendor (IPV) Cell Chief and represents DLA as an Aviation supply chain manager at a DLA Aviation industrial site. The Cell Chief is responsible for all analytical and supply management functions, actions, and coordination performed by the IPV Cell in support of assigned military service production groups. Maintains cross-agency relationships and monitors cross-agency sources of supply to ensure assets are available for issue when required and to alleviate work-stoppages. Conducts, initiates, or participates in studies, projects and/or surveys of material management operations to determine required improvements for supported commodities and/or weapons systems. Directs and guides the development and implementation of new approaches to solve problems and, as appropriate, modifies/improves material management business processes within the Team's scope of responsibility. Ensures that business key performance indicators/metrics goals influenced within the Cell are within established performance parameters of DLA Aviation guidelines and customer agreements.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Analyzing and evaluating major operating processes of the Industrial Product Support Vendor (IPV) program. Recommending modifications and improvements to automated systems. Developing plans for material operations to optimize capability and capacity. Working important supply program planning, management, and evaluation by performing program planning. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
