Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Secretary (OA) , you will use your knowledge of and experience of clerical and administrative procedures and requirements; various office skills; and the ability to apply such skills in a way that increases the effectiveness of others to optimize business results and customer experience by: Responsible for program policy development. Provides liaison with other components of other Federal organizations, such as the White House Office of Faith-Based initiatives, and outside groups. Applies thorough knowledge of the manager's philosophy and policies with regard to administrative tasks. Provides non-technical information about the work of the organization and coordinates substantive program requirements, administrative details, or staff support responsibilities. Makes all necessary arrangements for the supervisor upon scheduling appointments or attendance at meetings/conferences based on knowledge of the supervisor's preferences in travel.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized Experience: For the GS-07, One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes preparing a wide variety of correspondence and reports; receiving office calls and visitors; and using/applying office automation applications or systems. Specialized Experience: For the GS-08, One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing administrative functions such as composing and editing correspondence; maintaining appointment calendars; coordinating with other offices such as resource management, human resources, and/or outside agencies; and using/applying office automation applications or systems. Specialized Experience: For the GS-09, One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing administrative functions such as maintaining calendars for officials; coordinating with other offices such as resource management, human resources, and/or outside agencies; preparing internal and external correspondence; and using/applying office automation applications or systems.
