About the Position: Performs the following clerical duties: receives visitors and phone calls, personally provides information requested or directs to staff members those contacts that require attention or action. Maintains project/contract files as necessary, maintains files in accordance with established guidelines, purging and retiring files as prescribed by regulation; maintains regulations, policies and procedures; orders and maintains a perpetual inventory of office supplies.
Duties

Responsible for maintaining project/contract files in accordance with established guidelines.
Maintain equipment records and maintenance history on property items.
Prepare justifications for office equipment and furniture.
Maintain a record of training requirements and aid in scheduling training for two lake offices.
Prepare travel orders and travel vouchers for all supported employees for two lake offices.
Assist with budget development, planning, tracking and execution for two lake offices
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position may be expected to travel up to 5% for this position.

Specialized Experience GS-05: One year of specialized experience which includes using computer programs to store and retrieve data; preparing correspondence; and maintaining files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
Specialized ExperienceGS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing administrative functions of an office, to include timekeeping or travel; completing/editing reports or correspondence using automated software; and experience gained in an office environment interpreting or applying administrative rules, regulations, or procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Specialized ExperienceGS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes timekeeping; providing budgetary support; and preparing and reviewing correspondence in accordance with required policies and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer error
