About the Position: This position is for Administrative Support Assistant, GS-0303-07 with US Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, Operations Division, Piney Woods Regional Office.

Duties

Assist the Branch Chief/Lake Manager in personnel management activities by seeking and disseminating information from the CPAC. Assist with formulating and monitoring the annual operating budget. Inputs and monitors the facility management/preventative maintenance management program (FEM) for the Branch/Lake. Assure all work processes of the Branch/Lake are properly managed in the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) using work category codes, work breakdown structure, and organizational codes. Responsible for the procurement actions of equipment, materials, supplies and services necessary to support the Branch/Lake activities. Respond to phone inquiries or lake office visitors from contractors, other organizational elements, or general public, seeking information and advice

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience which includes performing at least two out of the following three areas: 1) Maintaining a budget for an office; OR 2) Performing administrative support duties such as timekeeping, travel arrangements, or personnel actions; OR 3) Composing correspondence and/or reports using automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementBudget AdministrationClericalFinancial Management
