About the Position: This position is located at the Quantico/Dahlgren Facilities in Quantico, VA. Prince William county, northeastern Virginia, U.S. It lies along the Potomac River, about 35 miles southwest of Washington, D.C.

Duties

Disinfect restrooms to include urinals, toilet bowls, and sinks. Empty waste baskets. Provide updates to supervisor on status and progress of work. Set up and tear down for special events or assemblies. Adjust and/or perform minor maintenance to attachments on power equipment. Ensure that needed materials and tools are available on site for workers to complete daily duties. Open and close school following all security procedures. Demonstrate proper work methods.

Requirements

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
• Direct deposit of pay is required.
• One year trial or probationary period may be required.
• Appointment subject to a suitability /fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
• This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Work may include assignment to first or second shift.

Requires working on ladders/scaffold in the performance of some duties. Working Conditions: Usually works indoors in areas which are adequately heated, lighted, and ventilated . Exposed to vibration from heavy equipment and to skin irritation from strong cleaning solutions. Care must be taken to avoid serious injury when working on ladders and scaffolds or when using heavy powered equipment.
