About the Position: The Alaska District is seeking to fill an Equal Employment Specialist position in the Support Staff Section. An ideal candidate will have strong experience in EEO programs and policy with a background in planning, organizing, directing, and reviewing a management oriented affirmative employment program. Also, possess an in depth knowledge of EEO regulations and procedures, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Duties

Provides leadership to line and staff personnel in the development and implementation of the EEO Affirmative Employment Plan (AEP). Develops policies and procedures for the Alaska Army COE EEO Program, which includes EEO Counseling, Special Emphasis Programs, complaints administration, and related training services. Evaluates and prepares written analysis/briefings about the effectiveness of EEO Program activities. Plans, develops, and presents equal employment opportunity training for supervisory development, employee orientation, and counselor training.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
