Duties
Serve as Defense Readiness Reporting System-Army (DRRS-A) Senior Readiness Officer for the Command.
Use office automation programs and databases, such as Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint to conduct analysis from multiple data sources.
Plan, develop, coordinate and participate in seminars, workshops and training sessions focusing on Unit Status Reports (USR).
Coordinate with United States Army Reserve Command to obtain resources to increase readiness levels.
Develop policies and procedures for Command wide implementation.
Analyze and interpret higher headquarters regulations and directives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
- This position requires a Secret Clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing and analyzing military readiness information to include identifying shortfalls in the readiness areas of personnel, equipment, and training; developing and implementing corrective action plans; assembling statistical data regarding unit and command level readiness; providing technical advice on unit readiness matters; and assisting with planning and developing seminars, workshops or training sessions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management or Business Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
