About the Position: This position is located with Ireland Army Health Clinic at Fort Knox, Kentucky. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Duties

Provide individual or group therapy. Assign work to subordinates based on priority. Conduct psychological assessments to formulate clinical interpretations. Formulate clinical problem lists and treatment plans consistent with professional guidelines. Identify development and training needs of employees. Conduct clinical research to remain up to date on specialized knowledge. Recognize treatment strategies based upon accepted theories, principles, and practices.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
• Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
