Duties

You will assist satellite generators and waste handlers in the day-to-day disposal of hazardous/non-hazardous wastes from generation sites. You will determine appropriate on-site storage area based on type of waste/material and coordinate the pick up and delivery of waste. You will inspect waste generation points and waste material for compliance with regulatory requirements. You will analyze various alternatives for implementation of pro-hazardous waste management action/projects and provide recommendations to decision makers. You will maintain inspection records and files. You will collect samples of hazardous materials and wastes to implement a comprehensive waste analysis plan and quality control assurance program.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: monitoring and evaluating hazardous waste generating activities to assess and ensure compliance with requirements and identify problems.
