About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Provides required emergency management report and documentation in support of internal and externals taskings. Ensures the depot possesses current and appropriate equipment (hard and/or software) to respond to emergency events. Principle advisor to the emergency operations center during emergency operations. Oversees incident response planning and develops response SOPs. Provides advice and recommendations to the depot command group regarding emergency response actions. Provides required emergency management report and documentation in support of internal and externals taskings. Develops and updates depot emergency management regulations and response plans and ensures they comply with Department of the Army and Department of Defense regulations/instructions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required
• This position is "Emergency-Essential" it takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status, must continue to perform the duties and requirements of the position.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.
