About the Position: This position serves as a Work Order Specialist for the Joint Activities located in Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Serve as the Work Order Analyst and System Administrator for the organization. Administer and manage the computerized work order tracking system. Coordinate requests for repair, renovation, new construction, and maintenance projects. Prepare various reports related to the mission. Maintain cost data relative to maintenance and labor cost by individual work order. Maintain suspense of jobs in progress and all jobs in a pending status.

Requirements

  • This is a drug testing designated position and requires the incumbent to complete a drug test examination prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security with SCI access.
  • Incumbent will undergo psychological testing and urinalysis screening.
  • Position subject to one year probationary period unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes administering and managing a computerized work order tracking system; coordinating work requests for repairs, renovation, new constructions and maintenance projects; evaluating completed work requests to compare actual cost with estimated and allowed costs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailInformation ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingTechnology Application Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
