In this position you will provide on-equipment maintenance for one of the AMU production elements, which can include several aircraft maintenance flights. To manage, supervise and technically direct personnel performing aircraft & ordinance system inspections and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

Requirements

- Obtain and maintain Security clearance
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
- 2 years of flight test experience desired
- 1 year of Supervisory experience desired
- 3 years aircraft mechanic experience desired

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-8800 Aircraft Overhaul Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
The screen out element for this position is Ability To Lead Or Supervise.

KSA's:
Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and/or test equipment common to trades supervised.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.
Ability to read and interpret instructions, specification, technical drawings/manuals, and blueprints.
Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of conventional aircraft maintenance and repair trades, including advanced avionics; and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/Equal Employment Treatment.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
