You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the Chemical, Biological & Radiological Defense Division (R2), RTD&E Department (R) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-6 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Salary will be based on geographic location.
Duties
You will serve as a program manager and senior technical expert, leader, advisor, liaison and mentor on Chemical and Biological (CB) detection system integration.
You will be responsible for fielding and integration of multiple CB detection systems; New Ship Construction (SCN), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and future ship class program offices program management.
You will provide leadership and strategic direction for all CB detection system Fleet Support shipboard integration activities and execute SCN and FMS.
You will lead critical engagements with SCN and FMS sponsors to facilitate, coordinate, and develop business development strategies within the portfolio.
You will develop and effectively communicate strategic direction associated with CB detection system shipboard integration activities in support of current and future Navy requirements.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading or managing administrative and technical operations to ensure compliance with chemical, biological or radiological (CBR) requirements (e.g. procurement; delivery; integration; sustainment) in support of Navy and Department of Defense CBR Detection programs for shipboard operations.
