About the Position: This position is located in the Army Futures Command Headquarters, CL-CFT Capabilities Development Division.

Duties

Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) with respect to the capabilities development process for the Contested Logistics (CL) Cross Functional Team (CFT). Supports logistics system evolution of new or substantially improved capabilities. Assesses the Army?s requirements in doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership, education development, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) domains. Identifies DOTMLPF-P capability gaps through the Capabilities Based Assessment and other Joint Capability Integration Development System (JCIDS) processes, and developing gap solutions with regards to CL-CFT portfolio areas. Develops and documents CL-CFT portfolios and other material requirement documents per the organizational instructions. Reviews a variety of concepts and doctrine publications/studies developed by other CFT?s, TRADOC, HQDA, and other external sources.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 30% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying knowledge of Contested Logistics (CL) portfolio areas sufficient to complete capability development projects; 2) Applying knowledge of regulations and/or policies which affect the capability developments process sufficient to complete combat development studies/projects; and 3) Reviewing and providing recommendations on organizational concept and doctrine publications and studies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and EvaluatingStrategic ThinkingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
