About the Position: This position is with the 377th Theater Sustainment Command, 316 Mission Support Element located at Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.

Duties

Receive all visitors and telephone calls to the Command Group. Provide instructions to customers based on their inquiries. Review correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance to regulations. Manage arrangements for meetings, conferences, and seminars for the installation. Generate travel arrangement utilizing automated systems. Review documents for accuracy before submitting to the Command Group for signature. Assists with assembling final input for the command-operating budget cycle. Maintain files, records, publications, and other related material in accordance with established regulations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: Once year of specialized experience which includes receiving and screening visitors; maintaining office's calendar; reviewing documents for accuracy; composing correspondence; scheduling appointments and travel arrangements; and responding to inquiries and advising on personnel administrative matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type at least 40 works per minute based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Applies Technology to TasksCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Manages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
