You will serve as an Aircraft Overhaul & Repair Supervisor in the MRO Production Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will plan work to be accomplished by shop dedicated members. You will set and adjust priorities and oversee development of schedules for completion of work. You will establish goals and develop broad plans to review production processes. You will direct the analysis of procurement, material, and logistic changes which may improve effectiveness of the shop to meet production schedules.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to Lead or Supervise such as: 1) Providing direction to production shop members and to other personnel directly assigned or identified to support the assigned product line; 2) Establishing goals and developing broad plans to review production processes and develop improvement initiatives; 3) Identifying and defending resource requirements such as manpower, funding, facilities for the production effort of assigned product; 4) Assigning work based on priorities through the capabilities of employees; and 5) Directing the analysis of procurement, material and logistics changes which may improve the effectiveness of the shop to meet production schedules.
