Duties
As a Program Analyst, you will:
Lead the information system analysis using statistical software packages such as SAS, ACCESS and EXCEL.
Assist in the development and application of accepted management practices, theories, techniques, and methodology to assigned problems and studies, which involve making use of substantive knowledge of Departmental practices, functions and procedures.
Lead teams that gather, assemble, analyzes, and evaluate complex facts, draw appropriate conclusions, and devise solutions to assigned problems.
Select practices and theories, and devises complex analytical evaluative techniques and methodology, suited to assigned problems.
Guide technical staff or teams that prepare a wide range of clear, complex, and concise charts and graphs covering a variety of scenarios for review by management.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience:For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Assessing program effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement of processes and procedures.;AND
- Analyzing and developing solutions to enhance organizational processes and operational efficiencies in an automated environment.; AND
- Developing and presenting presentations to management.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
