This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Policy, Strategy, and Plans- Center for Prevention, Partnership, and Programs (CP3). This position is responsible for planning, direction, organization, and supervision of nonsupervisory employees assigned to the CP3 Front Office and providing executive level support to the Director. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Duties

As an Administrative Officer, GS-0341-15, your typical work assignments may include: Planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the CP3 Front Office. Providing executive advisory service to Director and senior staff on management and administrative policies which support the accomplishment of CP3's mission. Exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Developing and evaluating policies in assigned program areas such as budget, human capital, and procurement and takes necessary actions to achieve organizational objectives by recommending program objectives and improvements for the future. Qualifications

Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: (1) Providing executive level advice and program office leadership encompassing budget formulation, acquisition execution, evaluation and implementation of acquisition strategy. (2) Managing administrative oversight in the areas of HR functions and finance. (3) Organizational implementation of the program office's policies and procedures including systems and controls for the generation and distribution of recurring and special reports. (4) Plans, organizes and conducts special briefings and presentations to inform managers of new budget and finance information and new human resources, and financial management initiatives, priorities and studies. Note: Your resume must clearly indicate how you meet the specialized experience requirements. Otherwise, you will be found ineligible. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level. Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement. Note: Current or former Federal employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment ("position occupied" block 34 on the SF-50 should show a "1"), tenure group (block 24 should show a 1 or 2), grade, and salary. If you are applying for a higher grade, please provide the SF-50 Form which shows the length of time you have been in your current/highest grade (examples of appropriate SF-50s include promotions, With-in Grade/Range Increases, and SF-50s dated a year apart within the same grade/job).
