About the Position: You will serve as an Equipment Specialist within the Naval Medical Center Dir Clinical Support Equipment, San Diego, California
Duties
Organize physical inventories and/or inspections of government owned equipment at various administrative and clinical locations of the Command including Branch Medical Clinics.
Ensure and maintain current and accurate records for accounting and reporting purposes, through use of manual records and the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support, DMLSS.
Arrange for intra-command transfer of equipment, adjusting manual and/or automated property accounting records as required.
Respond to internal and external requests for specialized complex summary reports such as numbers of a particular type of equipment with certain age and/or mechanical condition parameters.
Advise Command staff planning equipment acquisition on requirements for lease vs. buy analysis, and/or cost-benefit analysis.
Provide samples and instructions from appropriate references, and evaluate returns for completeness, format, and accuracy.

- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes: maintaining repair and maintenance records; entering information into automated management systems; maintaining inventory and property records; and utilizing multiple components of asset management control systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. degree such as: Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Reverse Logistics, Business Administration. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
