THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION This is an indefinite position. DUTY LOCATION: G1, Niantic, CT AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the Connecticut Army National Guard. Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members of the Connecticut Army National Guard.

Duties

JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to provide oversight, planning, interpretation, application of policy, final review and validation of subordinate products for presentation to senior leadership, and implementation guidance to lower echelon units and commands. Work is to be performed in the areas of Mobilization Readiness to include liaising directly with the assigned Mobilization and Demobilization Station of a unit; the corresponding Training Support Battalion (TSB); respective Army Regional Command (1A); the respective Mobilization Brigade; and internal mobilization station tenant agencies. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Army National Guard. The major duties include, but are not limited to: Reviews, analyzes and implements the Mobilization Planning Data Viewer (MPDV) and Deployment and Redeployment Tracking System (DARTS) and coordinates deficiencies and/or requirements with the unit chain of command. Performs general administrative support duties. Incumbent is responsible for compilation and submission of a variety of recurring reports. Observes Operational Security (OPSEC) requirements on the release of sensitive information concerning individual military members and mission requirements. Tracks and maintains data for subordinate units.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 24 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience, education or training in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience demonstrating a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of MILPO units, their mission, capabilities and the functional relationship and associations. Skill to analyze, evaluate, and resolve problems in readiness reporting as well as the identification of unit readiness issues. Knowledge of administrative procedures, rules, regulations, policies, forms and procedures on unit readiness to coordinate the Unit Status Reporting system. Knowledge of mobilization process, reporting policies and procedures. Knowledge of various automated data processing systems and reporting policies and procedures. Knowledge of the characteristics and features of a variety of office automation software in order to produce advanced database, spreadsheet, and word processing solutions. Knowledge of advanced features necessary to integrate various software in order to produce a single document, retrieve data, convert and produce graphical data. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, at various levels of the command as well as other external agencies. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of Branch/AOC/FA/MOS. Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection. The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training.
