About the position: This is a NAF position with the 61st Force Support Squadron, located with Marketing on Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, California. This position is considered Regular Full Time. The position is 35 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. As a regular full time employee, you are eligible for leave and benefits.

Duties

Responsible for the daily operations of 61 FSS LA Star Awards to ensure economic and efficient operations and administrative/clerical functions in support of LA Star Awards. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the computerized engravers. Creates and produces graphic designs for in-house and customer needs. Administers merchandising aspects of LA Star Awards Resale areas to include ordering/receiving and inventory of merchandise. Maintains security of all merchandise, equipment and funds assigned. Ensures materials and resources are available and customer satisfaction is being met, and the marketing and promotion of such. Sells merchandise, operates POS system as needed receives and processes payments. Types and prepares all required correspondence, DD form 250 Form 19's ect. Assists assigned personnel in all areas of the LA Star Award resale operation. May assist customers in placing special (engraving and framing) orders. Coordinates Accounts Receivables/Payables with Resource Management. Collects, verifies, safeguards, and deposits funds received in the daily operation of the facility. Balances, maintains and submits daily 1876 reconciliation reports. Maintains office supplies as needed. Establishes and maintains all office files. Inputs and maintains all inventory items into the Point of Sale (POS) system and tags inventory items for display. Follows instructions for being a P-CARD (NAF) cardholder. Answers telephone and coordinates calls. On own initiative and on a continuing basis, revises and recommends changes in administrative procedures, internal controls, and insures their applicability to changing needs or changes in administrative regulations. Administers internal priorities and suspenses, and develops procedures to meet general administrative requirements. Participates in special events to market LA Star Awards resale operations. Coordinates with Marketing to ensure that all Resale Lot Entries are current and works with webmaster to update weekly. Incumbent is responsible for maintaining and reporting payroll for the Program. Establishes, maintains and verifies all pay actions documents, disburses all time and completes all required reports. Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinates, and evaluates their work performance; approving or disapproving sick leave, annual leave or other absences from work. Plans, schedules, and coordinates work operations, determining equipment and supplies needed according to priorities and/or objectives outlined by supervisor. Provides initial and recurring training for all employees. Required to drive a government vehicle(s). Works uncommon tour of duty which includes nights, weekends and Holidays. Requirements

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience: Must demonstrate knowledge required to operate equipment such as large format printer, and laser/rotary engravers. Must have graphic design experience. Must have working knowledge of the current Adobe Creative Suite. Must have progressively responsible experience in clerical or office work which has provided a comprehensive knowledge of office automation software such as MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint. Experience must also include financial duties such as reviewing financial statements, budgeting and monitoring for a like operation. Must also have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control procedures. Knowledge of merchandising for a retail operation is highly desirable. Requires continuous standing, walking and stooping. Must be physically able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Subject to satisfactory completion and maintenance of a Tier-1 background investigation. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment and random testing for drug use. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education
